Conversion Styles

Hip To Gable

This process will extend your homes roof area the part of the roof that previously sloped inwards (hipped) will be altered to become a vertical wall this creates a gable and in turn, creates extra space inside the loft.

The nature of this process means that this type of conversion is only an option should you have a hipped roof because of this mid terraced homes are not suitable.

This type of loft conversion is often coupled with a dormer to create maximum useable space.

Hip to Gable conversion can often be carried out under permitted development laws.

Dormer Loft Conversion

This type of loft conversion makes use of a wood or metal structure containing a window this is ideal if your loft is restricted on space as a dormer will effectively increase the livable area of the room.

Since the original structure of your home again remains intact, Dormer conversions will often fall under the government permitted development laws.

Mansard Loft Conversion

Typically Mansard loft conversions involve a raised frame installed between two newly constructed walls. This type of conversion will provide you with the maximum possible room and is ideal for those with a smaller loft space.

However, due to the necessary structural changes, a Mansard conversion will often require planning permission.

Standard Conversion With Rooflight

This style of a loft conversion is ideal for homes that have an existing loft which is already high enough. A standard conversion with a roof light will very rarely require planning permission and will usually fall under permitted development. This is because no significant structural alterations will be necessary.

No structural work means this type of loft conversion represents minimum hassle for our customer.
